Winter Walks Announced

Winter Walks Announced

While our regular volunteer sessions pause for the winter, there is still a lot going on at HCGA! We are running a programme of FREE walks and trips to discover new places in the city and learn new things. Walks are open to HCGA volunteers from all projects and local people who want to get outside, learn new things and be more active. This year our winter events have been made possible by our local fundraising activities.

Please wear comfortable footwear and bring an Oyster card and a drink. We are able to pay for travel for those who need it and lunch will be provided, or on shorter walks, tea and coffee. Walks and trips are different lengths and some cover a long distance requiring a good level of fitness. Please get in touch if you have any questions about a particular walk. We will leave the scheduled meeting place no more than 10 minutes after the scheduled meeting time. Please make sure to arrive on time as late comers hold up the group. The meeting points will mostly be in Hammersmith or Shepherd’s Bush and will be confirmed with you when you book.

To book on any of these walks and trips please email bookings@hcga.org.uk or contact your project staff leader. Booking is required for all activities apart from the AGM!
You will notice this year that some walks are marked with a star (*). As our trips are so popular, last year nearly every trip had a waiting list. This year we are asking you to only book three walks which have a star next to them. If you would like to book on more than three starred trips please let us know and there may still be space available once we have allocated places to those who are interested.

If you book on a trip and are no longer able to attend please let us know ASAP so we can offer the place to someone else. In some cases we are buying tickets in advance and it is a shame for them to go to waste.
