With funding from the Healthy Community Fund Programme, HCGA runs a volunteer gardening session every Wednesday from 2–4 pm in Watson Gardens (Maida Hill, London W9 3RU).
WECH (Walterton and Elgin Community Homes) residents and local people come together to grow, learn and maintain flowers, fruit, vegetables and herbs.
The gardening area has recently been redesigned with more planters, giving us more space to grow! Produce is shared among volunteers or given to residents who pass by. We also enjoy getting creative with garden crafts.
In 2026 the new Japanese Garden we designed and planted was opened by the Lord Mayor of Westminster. Read more here.
