A hidden gem nestled between Third and Fourh Avenue off the busy Harrow Road in West London. This area of the park is a lovely relaxing green space to connect with nature and is maintained entirely by volunteers once a week.
HCGA runs weekly community gardening sessions in Queen’s Park Gardens on Thursdays 10am – 12pm. If you would like to get involved please email volunteering@hcga.org.uk or fill out this expression of interest form.
We run weekly volunteer sessions for local residents and also family growing and greening sessions during school holidays. We host several corporate workdays each year where volunteers have worked on improving the rose garden and award winning wildlife garden.
We also coordinated a Best Front Garden competition, take part in the summer and winter festivals and in 2018 planted a community orchard. In 2025, we were funded by Queen’s Park Community Council to manage the Queen’s Park in Bloom competition, which our volunteers had won in 2023. 251 residents received certificates and were invited to pick up a free plant at the Queen’s Park Summer Festival.
