Since 2015, we have been assisting residents on Fisherton Street with growing their own fruit and vegetables.

The success of the project is due to its longevity and the commitment of the residents who have continued to develop and maintain it. They have managed to grow over 10 species of fruit tree- all in planters on hard standing and have  built their own compost bins with our guidance. We have just rebuilt 10 of the planters which are much stronger and larger.

There are twenty growing boxes in total and over 46 different varieties of fruit and vegetables have been grown here over the years. Having such a wide variety of plants, helps to increase biodiversity in the urban area, creating wildlife corridors throughout the city.
