Winter Walk – Swiss Cottage to Kings Cross

Wednesday 5th March – Swiss Cottage to Kings Cross Walk
Starting at Swiss Cottage we pass Neave Brown’s acclaimed Alexandra Road Estate, pass amazing Arts and Crafts inspired houses and take in the views of the City from Primrose Hill. We then go into Regent’s Park, past the zoo and to the Regent’s Canal. At King’s Cross we will explore Camley Street Natural Park before finishing the walk at King’s Cross Station. The walk is 4.5 miles and will take around 2-3 hours including stops. Lunch is included.

General Information about Winter Walks
While our regular volunteer sessions pause for the winter, there is still a lot going on at HCGA! We are running a programme of FREE walks and trips to discover new places in the city and learn new things. Walks are open to HCGA volunteers from all projects and local people who want to get outside, learn new things and be more active.
Please wear comfortable footwear and bring an Oyster card and a drink. We are able to pay for travel for those who need it and lunch will be provided, or on shorter walks, tea and coffee. Walks and trips are different lengths and some cover a long distance requiring a good level of fitness. Please get in touch if you have any questions about a particular walk.
We will leave the scheduled meeting place no more than 10 minutes after the scheduled meeting time. Please make sure to arrive on time as late comers hold up the group. The meeting points will mostly be in Hammersmith or Shepherd’s Bush and will be confirmed with you when you book.
