Monday 24^th March – Walk at Perivale Woods

We will meet in Perivale and visit the woods which are normally closed to the public. After a hot drink and an introduction to the project by one of the volunteers, we will be free to walk around the 18 acres of ancient oak woodland as well as wildflower meadows and wetland areas. Some areas are uneven underfoot and the paths may be muddy and slippery.

General Information about Winter Walks

While our regular volunteer sessions pause for the winter, there is still a lot going on at HCGA! We are running a programme of FREE walks and trips to discover new places in the city and learn new things. Walks are open to HCGA volunteers from all projects and local people who want to get outside, learn new things and be more active.

Please wear comfortable footwear and bring an Oyster card and a drink. We are able to pay for travel for those who need it and lunch will be provided, or on shorter walks, tea and coffee. Walks and trips are different lengths and some cover a long distance requiring a good level of fitness. Please get in touch if you have any questions about a particular walk.

We will leave the scheduled meeting place no more than 10 minutes after the scheduled meeting time. Please make sure to arrive on time as late comers hold up the group. The meeting points will mostly be in Hammersmith or Shepherd’s Bush and will be confirmed with you when you book.

If you book on a trip and are no longer able to attend please let us know ASAP so we can offer the place to someone else.
