Trip to Rickmansworth Aquadrome

Friday 10th January – Rickmansworth Aquadrome

We will travel on the Met Line to Rickmansworth where we will walk to Rickmansworth Aquadrome – a series of lakes formed by gravel extraction. The lakes are now a nature reserve and are home to many species of bird. Lunch is included. This walk will be approximately 4-5 miles long.

We are running a programme of FREE walks and trips to discover new places in the city and learn new things. Walks are open to HCGA volunteers from all projects and local people who want to get outside, learn new things and be more active.

Please wear comfortable footwear and bring an Oyster card and a drink. We are able to pay for travel for those who need it and lunch will be provided.

We will leave the scheduled meeting place no more than 10 minutes after the scheduled meeting time. Please make sure to arrive on time as late comers hold up the group. The meeting points will mostly be in Hammersmith or Shepherd’s Bush and will be confirmed with you when you book.

If you book on a trip and are no longer able to attend please let us know ASAP so we can offer the place to someone else. In some cases we are buying tickets in advance and it is a shame for them to go to waste.
