Documentary Photography Course for Beginners

An exciting opportunity to learn basic Documentary Photography in a series of practical Workshops. The Workshops will run over 5 weeks and will offer a sound introduction into the world of photo story telling through a mixture of practical activities, field photography work, leading to digital A5 brochure showcasing the participants work.

3rd April 10.30-1pm Basic Photography, learn exposure and depth of field
30th April 10.30-1pm Visual Narative 1 + Practical
7th May 10.30-1pm Visual Narative 2 + Practical
14th May 10.30-1pm Learn visual layers and presentation + Practical
21st May 10.30-2pm (Longer session) Editing, Layout and Presentation

Themes and Concepts – Following the core aims of HCGA we will explore themes around nature, education, food growing and wildlife conservation.

The sessions will take place at the Sulgrave Youth Club and the Ravenscourt Park Glasshouses. It is free and open to all. Attendance at all 5 sessions is required.
