Wild Readers’ Reading Recovery Programme at Phoenix Farm
This summer we have been hosting a reading recovery programme at Phoenix Community Farm three afternoons a week throughout the whole of August. Over twenty families have been attending the sessions from Ark Bentworth Primary School and St John’s XXIII Primary School in White City. The children have been taking part in environmentally-themed play activities delivered by our skilled HCGA team and then spending time learning to love reading in our natural willow den at the farm with highly experienced teaching assistants from the two schools.
