The Gardens
| Godolphin | Loris | Ravenscourt |
We manage two gardens in the Hammersmith area, Godolphin and Loris, plus the Ravenscourt Community greenhouses.
Godolphin
Godolphin Garden is the more northern of our two community gardens. The space in the Godolphin Road terraces was the result of a bomb stike. Hammersmith Community Gardens Association has managed the garden since 1988 and in 1996 it was extensively redeveloped to make the site accessible to wheelchair users.
The garden is open and sunny with a few specimen trees, a pond, a wildlife area, herb beds and murals.
The site is located next to a public playground and has been a popular venue for a series of exciting arts based projects. Another feature is the garden's Time Capsule to be opened in 2020.

Loris
Loris Garden was started in 1983 and comprises of three segments. On one side a mature garden with a grassy, hilly area and wildlife pond. There is a small woodland and a paved central area incorporating a mosaic and a Time Capsule. Thirdly, there is a small children's play area next to the paved area.
The most recent development has been the creation of an Eco Shed. The site is fully accessible.

Ravenscourt Community Greenhouses
Ravenscourt Community Greenhouses were formerly used by the local authority and fell into disrepair. HCGA received permission to take over the management of two large glasshouses.
With support from the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham we have bought the glasshouses back to life and our volunteers now grow a variety of flowers and vegetables that are used at our other sites and the Ravenscourt cafe.
