Hammersmith Community Gardens Association is to receive a funding boost for nature activity programmes for children and young people living in deprived areas of Hammersmith
We will use the funding to deliver a play scheme during school holidays, run day trips to the countryside and host environment and wildlife events for children and young people. Activities will include; arts and crafts, healthy cooking using seasonal foods and other opportunities to explore and learn about the natural environment. The activities will help the children and young people build their self-esteem and improve their health and interpersonal skills.
We’re delighted to have been awarded with this funding. With it, we’ll be able to make a positive difference to the lives of the children and young people in our community.
