Hammersmith Community Gardens Association and Askew Business Network are delighted to welcome the Mayor to switch the light on at their ‘I’m dreaming of a White Christmas’ themed event on Monday December 14th at 4.30pm at Starch Green, the greenspace at the corner of Askew and Goldhawk Road.
In addition to singing and a White Christmas grotto there will be face painting, Christmas wreath making and Santa will be there too. A group of volunteer from Lloyds Bank will be using their community day to help with stewarding.
The event which has been sponsored by 4 local businesses, Finlay Brewer, Philip Wooller and Ravenscourt Residential all local independent estate agencies and The Eagle and supported by Askew Business Network is now in its third year.
Organiser Cathy Maund said ‘ This has always been a really lovely community event and a good way to finish the year. I will feel I can relax once the light have been switched on. Thanks to Tameran from Sonshine Smiles for providing a balloon Snowman and to Askew Library who have been busy making decorations for us.’
